DAY 1: YANGON / ARRIVAL
Mingalarbar!!! Arrive to Yangon International airport. Meet your local representative and transfer to the hotel for check in. In the afternoon proceed orientation tour of Yangon, short walk at city center to observe ways of life, colonial building afterwards proceed to famous Chaukhtatkyi a huge reclining Buddha, Shwedagon Pagoda nine wonder of the world the Stupa cover with real gold plate and decorated at the top with all the precious stone, donated by the public which can prove Myanmar is the first generous people in the world. Your sunset time at the platform of Shwedagon, experience the lighting in the Shrine and temple after sunset. Take a stairway to go down experiencing Myanmar art and craft wood curving, painting in the wall and celine, stairway shops. Transfer back to hotel and overnight in Yangon.
DAY 2: YANGON – BAGAN
Take early morning flight to Bagan. Temple/pagoda tour!! Your local guide will bring you at the most extensive World Heritage and archeological site in the world. Bagan- the land of Stupas and Temples on the plain land of 40 square mile! which are scattering over 2,000 temples and pagodas of various sizes in varying states of repair. First, we will visit the Nyaung-U morning market to see people’s ways of life. We will continue the day with visits to the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan, including the Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th as a religious shrine; the Ananda Temple, a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture with four standing Buddhas images and numerous seated figures and niches around the galleried interior.The adjacent brick monastery with the beautiful well-preserved 18th century murals; the Thatbinnyu Temple, also known as the “temple of omniscience” and dating from 1144; and the Sulamani temple. Transfer to the hotel and leisure. In the afternoon, you will visit one of the most treasured handicrafts in Myanmar, a lacquer ware home workshop near Myingabar village. Gubyaukgyi, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, Manuha Temple built in Mon style from 1059 and Nanphaya Temple, said to have once been the residence of King Manuha, then the next stop will be the massive Damayangyi Temple, before experiencing a local horse-cart ride before enjoying the sunset. Sunset at Bu Paya and transfer to the hotel and overnight in Bagan.
DAY 3: BAGAN – MANDALAY – SAGAING – AMARAPURA – MANDALAY
Take a flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, drive to Sagaing, 21 km southwest of Mandalay. Visit Kaunghmudaw Pagoda, an enormous dome shape Pagoda and after a short visit to the silversmith home industry proceed to Sagaing Hills, a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous Pagodas, like Umin Tonesae, Sone Oo Ponyashin pagoda, the panoramic view of Irrawaddy river and the Sagaig Bridge the stupas along the river side and many monasteries and nunneries on the hill of sagaing and farsighted over view of Kaunghmudaw Pagoda are the Prefect Secenery! In the afternoon, drive to Amarapura the was the capital of upper Burma until 1850. As was the custom, most of the important wooden palaces and monasteries. Visit a house of hand weaving looms, where they produce silk and cotton textiles. Amarapura’s silk has a very unique pattern, some patterns even take 3 months to finish a lady wear call Longyi. Proceed to walk at U Bein teak wood bridge, which is over 150 years old. Then Drive up the hill Overnight in Mandalay.
DAY 4: MANDALAY – NYAUNG SHWE – INLE LAKE
Take a morning flight to Heho. Meet your local representative and drive to Inle lake. On the way stop at Ancient wooden monastery and temple of Shan style. Proceed the lake from there a motorized long tail boat will proceed your visit to fresh water Lake Approx 25 km long, famous for its unique one-leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life and the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the silk weaving village of In Phaw Khon and Nga Phe Chaung (the biggest and oldest monastery around Inle Lake). Overnight at Inle Lake or in Nyaunghswe.
DAY 5: INLE LAKE – HEHO – YANGON
Breakfast at Hotel. Drive to Heho & take a flight to Yangon. In the afternoon free time for Shopping!!! Have enough time to wander around the sprawling Bogyoke Market through fascinating local neighborhoods.
DAY 6: YANGON (Departure)
Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to the Yangon International Airport for the departure flight.
The trip ends with full of stories to bring back home.
